DESY ICE CREAM & CONCESSIONS

 I started my life with a career in Law Enforcement, while working the midnight shift I opened my first store Spankies which was a specialty chocolate and gift shop.I did cakes and parties for friends and family. I owned and operated this shop for a few years along with my full time job. My husband was employed by the State Police and took a transfer to headquarters, a good 1 1/2 hrs from where we resided. I transferred to the local police dept. near headquarters and closed my shop as the commute and work hours were to much.

I became pregnant with our first son in 1996. Took a leave from law enforcement, fully intending to  continue my career when my son was older. I started making cakes for friends and doing funerals and shower catering on the side. Soon I was right back in business again.

We built a house and moved once again...starting over again!! I became pregnant with our second son, thus putting my career on hold once more, my husband was promoted to Sergeant. Once again I made friends...this led to cakes and parties again. So this I have done for 25+ years. 

One day while packing up from a wedding in Maine an ice cream truck came along....my kids screamed with delight, so on the ride home my brain began to scramble and before I knew it we were custom building ice cream and concession trucks.

 I did go back to work in law enforcement, although it was not my life any longer. I have many names now...The Ding Dong Lady, The Cake Lady, The Nacho Lady....and some I cannot mention. 

No matter what happens in life do what you are happy doing and do what you are good at doing. I work with my kids right next to me, I never miss a day in thier life.I throw parties and weddings, I see people happy. I bring good food to the table, I see peoples souls smile when they eat......I live a good life.

Who I Am

I am an independant female run business.

I am a member of the Lions Organization, Optimist Club and other local organizations.

I sponsor a mens softball team every year (and have taken 1st place 3 years in a row)

I sponsor a race car.

I have donated thousands of dollars to various organizations, fund raisers and charities every year.

It is you the people that continue to use me and make my business what it is, so I intend to give back to the people as much and whenever I can.
